Monkey Man # 33!

Monkey Man is looking for a new Arch-Nemesis! Could any of these candidates be the one?? Or is the answer staring him in the hairy face? Find out at Film Threat now! Monkey Man is written by the Word-Master Brian Lynch and drawn by me, someone who knows over FORTY SIX words!!!! Check out all the previous strips here!

And you don't want us EXPOsing ourselves!

It's London MCM Expo this weekend Sweet Cheeks! The show runs from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th at the Excel Centre in London's Docklands. Me and my Street Fightin' brother in art-arms Mark Pearce will be in Artists Alley at table G12, selling our comics, prints and doing sketches for YOU, the cosplaying masses! While your there you'd be a fool not to get your sketch coloured by Transformers ReGeneration One's John-Paul Bove who will be sitting at table C4. And while you're standing at table C4 then it would be ULTRA-foolhardy not to turn your head to the excitement on table C3 and check out the awesome work of Jess Bradley. It's a goddang table hopping adventure I'm describing to you!

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable. You are a poor scientist, Dr. Venkman.

My brand new Ghostbusters print, coloured with the power of a thousand exploding suns by my pal John-Paul Bove (IDW's Transformers: ReGeneration One). If you would like to pick up a copy you can find us both at the London MCM Expo from the 25th to the 27th of May!

James's Awesome Artists to watch at Bristol Comic Con presents: Jess Bradley!

So using my power as one of the many million tiny fact-holes spewing stinky brown information out into Internets-land, I didn't want to let this week go by without drawing stinky brown attention to some of my friends who are going to be joining me at Bristol Comic Expo this weekend. Jess Bradley may well be the Queen of the comic con. In that she has frequently demanded people be decapitated for little or no reason and she is often presented with gifts of potatoes and tobacco from far away lands. On top of those things she is also one of the nicest, funniest people you'll ever meet and comes to comic cons brandishing hundreds of different awesome items. Not only prints, stickers, magnets and keyrings, but also mini-comics and zines that distribute her unique brand of hilarity directly into your eye-brains via the medium of stapled paper. She has THREE brand new books making their debut at the con: Volumes 1 & 2 of 'The Cute and The Weird' as well as 'The Cosmic Horror colour and activity book' a collection of Lovecraftian puzzles and games for ages 3 to Infinity. So do your funny bone (it's a real bone) a favor and pay her table a visit this weekend at Bristol Comic Expo. You won't be sorry. Unless she demands your head be cut off. But like I said, bring her a potato and it'll be totally cool.

More than John-Pauls the eye!

It's Free Comic Book day tomorrow! So when you're at your local comic book emporium, scooping up everything your strange, Benny from Total Recall style mutant arms can carry, make sure you grab a copy of Transformers Re-Generation One #80.5! IDW's new TF book continues on from the original Marvel comics run that ended over 20 years ago. The original writer and artist have picked up the story and are finally taking it to its conclusion. But what's most Transformawesome about the book is that it features my good friend, John-Paul Bove on colours. JP is a lifelong Transformer fan and getting to work on his book is his dream (an even greater dream than that dream he has where I'm 100 feet tall and I put him in my pocket and we go to a faraway mystical island for adventures and secrets) so its amazing to see him put his truly badass colouring skills to work on his ultimate project. I hope this book leads to a long and luxurious comic book career for him, in Transformers and beyond! If you're in London tomorrow you can get your copy of TF Gen 1 signed by the entire creative team; Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, Stephen Baskerville, Jason Cardy and JP Bove at Orbital Comics in Great Newport Street, London. Get your FREE copy. get it SIGNED and make a DONATION. Draw the World Together will be collecting donations at the signing with all proceeds going to the Make A Wish charity. What's more exciting than that? ROBOTS! HELPING CHILDREN! FREE COMICS! ROLL YOUR ASS TO MARS! (wait, I got my quotes mixed up, well, you know what I was trying to say...)

Cereal:Geek issue 8 is almost here!

Issue 8 of the always Thunderously excellent Cereal:Geek magazine is almost here! The mag looks at all the cartoons of the eighties and is packed with amazing artwork and brilliant articles about the most famous and the lesser known animated series that occupied our tiny child brains on Children's ITV and CBBC and Channel 4 at the weekends and The Fun Factory on Sky 1 and The Children's Channel. Also the Wide Awake Club. Its creator, the bronzed, tanned, adonis like pinnacle of sword wielding man-muscle known as James "Bustatoons" Eatock has been working like some kind of Universe Master to bring you the new issue, looking at animated motion pictures and feature length episodes, so the least you can do is bow to his fluffy underpants-wearing Power! Issue 8 is especially exciting for me as I have 6 pages of artwork in there, including a 3 page Dungeons and Dragons comic. You can pre-order your copy here and make sure to follow Cereal:Geek and all of James' other 80's animation related projects at his Facebook page here. IT'S MORPHIN' TIME! (dammit, that was the nineties....)

The Con is ON!

It's May and that means its Comic con season! (sort of) I'm going to have tables at Bristol Comic Expo on the 12th and 13th of May and at London Comic Con MCM Expo from the 25th to the 27th of May. I'm going to have art prints and copies of my comic book "Now We Are Running..." for sale and I'll be sketching too if anyone is interested in a J.Stayte original. If that wasn't enough I'll be sharing my table with comic artist extraordinaire Mark Pearce! Mark is the writer and artist of excellent sci-fi space-explosion-robot-awesome-comedy "Ronin Dogs". Both issues are going to be available (he is working on issue 3 as we speak). Mark will also come baring the gift of wicked-rad prints. And if both of them two things wasn't enough we'll be within spitting distance (and yes, we plan to spit) of Uber-genius artist Jess Bradley, who'll be bringing her full range of Squid Bits badassery, including three new books! You might even get to spot the fabled John Paul Bove appearing in the open like some kind of Transformer colouring mythical creature! So come and look upon our wonders and despair, or just say hello, whichever you would prefer...
