Working on the RNLI children's magazine, Storm Force is my favourite thing I get to work on each month. Here are some of my favourite pieces from this year's issues.

To The Rescue! Animated!
I've been drawing a comic strip called "To The Rescue" for the RNLI's Storm Force magazine for a few years now and recently I've started drawing them with characters, backgrounds and effects separate so an animation team can bring them to life. This is the first of a series and it looks fantastic. I can't wait to see more!
Thanks to Jon Jones at the RNLI for directing it (and helping me make the strip every issue!)

Thought Bubble Comic Con this weekend!
I'm going to be at Thought Bubble, Leeds Comic Art Festival this weekend from the 23rd to the 24th of November. I'll be sharing a table with my comics partner in crime (and also my CRIME partner in crime), Mark Pearce, hocking our various comics, prints, sketches and sultry looks to the unsuspecting public. I've got copies of Issue One AND Two of Big Jimmy, while you can snag all three issues of Mark's awesome Ronin Dogs. THATS the kind of swag that Justin Biebers would spit on his young fans to get his hands on! Check us out in New Dock Hall at Table 64!
While you're there you'd be some kind of silly non-Belieber to miss a chance to check out other amazing artists in New Dock Hall like Jess Bradley-Bove at Table 173, John-Paul Bove at Table 172, Jon Lock at Table 113, Nich Angell at Table 114, Rob Cureton at Table 98 and Andrew Scaife at Table 84.
See you up North!

Jess Bradley: Professional Gut Buster!
Do yourself a flipping favour and get the flip over to Jess Bradley's blog. Comics and books and stickers and animals with funny hats and more are waiting to bust the flip out of your guts and leave you a dribbling pile of laughter on the floor (but you know, in a good way).
What are you still flipping reading this for? It contains no extra information! Check out Jess's work now!

How Did This Get Made?
Here is my t-shirt design for the How Did This Get Made? podcast's contest, inspired by the greatest bad movie of all times, The Room. If you haven't heard HDTGM and you love terrible movies then you should get listening to it now, dumb-dumb.

MCM LONDON COMIC CON: ONE WEEK TO GO!!
I'm going to be sharing a table with Marvelous Mark Pearce at MCM Comic Con at the Excel Centre, London from Friday 25th of October until Sunday 27th! We're going to be in the comic village at table CC2 surrounded by an embarrassingly giant number of awesome comic creators.
I've got issue 1 & 2 of Big Jimmy, along with some other comics and prints. Mark has all 3 issues of his amazing Space-Fantasy-Epic Ronin Dogs, plus his own eye melting prints that you'd be crazy not to sacrifice the solidity of your eye balls for!
But that ain't not even all the stuff that ain't there! While you're at the con check out the world of wonder created by Jess Bradley-Bove, the sweet-ass robo-colours of John-Paul Bove, the smooth smooth jazz that is the art of Lewis Terry, the musical majesty of Rob Cureton's Scene City, and the dynamically dynamite duo that is Deakin and Marisa Brook! All fantastic artists that will make your lives better by gazing upon their wonders (AND NO DESPAIR!)
So what are you waiting for? Time travel one week into the future and check it all out now! Tell 'em last week's James sent ya!

Big Jimmy #2: Wendy Feldspar of the Blasting Feldspars!
Big Jimmy #2 is almost ready for action! Here's Jimmy's Mum, Wendy Feldspar, back in her heyday as Warrior Champion of the Triumph Of The Solar System Battle Tournament. Can tales of her rise to victory inspire Jimmy to his own victory? Or will they just sound like the farts of parents in his ear? Find out at MCM London Comic Con from 25-27th of October!
(Big Jimmy #1 is available at my Big Cartel store now!)

It came to Earth to hunt, and Schwarzenegger is it's prey...
I'm going to put it out there; Predator is Arnold's best performance. When he's not flexing or machine gunning trees to death there are a few moments where he makes Dutch really calm, nuanced and charming. Then he turns into a roaring jungle man with a torch, which is much better than any acting or whatever.

I’m “busy” “working” on issue 2 of Big Jimmy. Here’s some sneaky peeks of Jimmy, his dad Gordon and Jimmy’s opponent, vicious insectoid The Devil’s Coach Horse. Issue 2 should be ready for London MCM in October, but you can buy issue 1 here, now, in August!
