Ghostbusters 3?

Empire: Bill Murray confirms Ghostbusters 3 role.

So Ghostbusters (as I've mentioned many a time to anyone who will listen) is my favorite film and always has been. Now internet nerdrumblings suggest that in Ghostbusters 3, Peter Venkman will appear, but dead as some kind of ghost. Naturally the internet has reacted to this rumor with the logic and control it is known for...

Here's my verdict; This could be a really good idea, Bill Murray ghosting around the place, sliming people, doing what he wants and causing hilarious chaos laughs. Maybe he could be the new team's equivalent of Slimer? Maybe he could smooth talk all the ghosts into helping the Ghostbusters to defeat some super-ghoul type (feel free to steal this idea Ramis et Aykroyd). I'd like a well made threequel to my most cherished movie, not an Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull where Dan Aykroyd swings through the trees with the ghosts of monkeys.

Wait! Thats another great idea! Get Hollywoods on the phone!

EDIT: I've made the news! (Ghostbustersnews.com that is!)

Storm Force!

I draw a comic strip for Storm Force magazine, about the Royal Navy Lifeboat Institution saving lives on the high seas. Its incredibly fun to do and its been really well received so hopefully I'll get to draw it for a long time.

Here are the first 3 strips I drew for the magazine (including one that was never published, which is a shame because it features a parrot being rescued from an explosion). More to come once they have seen print.

Hans...bubby...I'm your white knight!

Die Hard (1988) - Gruber/McClane/Explosions e.t.c

I had an idea in my head for this picture, however once I started putting all the elements together in photoshop it didn't turn out quite how I'd imagined.

So here are two versions, on the left, we the viewer are McClane, seeing Hans through the glass plus our own reflection, and on the right, were Hans looking out and seeing John McClane about to Yippe-Kay-Ay our Kimo-sabe straight into the dust.

Let me know which one works best y'alls.

It's a beautiful (Judgment) day.

Here's another design I submitted for Threadless last summer. I was really happy with it, but it didn't get a great score in the end. Fortunately, not long after I found out my 3D shark shirt got printed so swings und roundabouts I guess.

Still, I really like how peaceful this scene is (plus machine gun toting cyber-humanoids).

Hey while I've got you here (also you're looking very attractive today) whys not go vote for my newest design here? Thanks!

Comics are for geeks!

This is a piece I did at the start of the year for a project that has yet to happen, but it turned out really well and it represents my best renditions of all the characters. Plus it was a fun break from the important college work I was supposed to be doing.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Oh, he's very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads - they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude.

Wedding Comics...

A commission for a one year wedding anniversary. Ink washes and water colours.

The Vampire World!!

Another comic book cover for the awesome Covered Blog. This is maybe one of my favorite pieces of artwork. I love the zoom effect on that chump at the front being sucked in by one of the tentacles and the slimy texture on the alien looks great (adjusts bow tie).

Peter Parker, you lovable goof!

This was a lot of fun to do. I took a scene from Amazing Spider-Man 50 (circa 1967) and redrew it in my own style (see the original here).

I love the scene because it sums up what's great about Spider-Man; Peter Parker is so resigned to his role as a down on his luck dork-nerd that he's too oblivious to see that two beautiful 'gals' are obsessed with him, and the perfect life that he pines for so much is right infront of his face (if his head wasn't up his own arse). He's without a doubt my favorite comic character because he's so self absorbed that he makes life twice as hard for himself, the kind of interesting character trait that you don't find much in superheroes.

Next I'll do the same with an action scene from another Stan Lee/John Romita issue.

Storm Force!!

I've got a great job doing the back page comic for Storm Force, the RNLI lifeboat association's magazine. Its a really fun gig, drawing true life adventures of high seas rescues and the like.
Above is my "audition" piece I did to get the gig. I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but I'm pretty good at doing torrential rain...

Summertime!

Two pieces of artwork I did for summertime funtimes. Top is my third annual cover image for the Wanborough Show program. This time however the picture was also used on a beer pump (Wanborough Showtime 4.0%), which was pretty cool.

The second piece was for Evesham Community Hospital's Riverside party. It was a quick piece but it was fun to draw the Chinese lanterns.

Popbusters!

I've started thinking about getting work in magazine illustration, so this is my first piece of artwork based on an existing article. Its a story from an issue of Empire magazine (circa last summer, big pop out Incredible Hulk on the cover) about the rise and fall of movie cash-in pop songs like that terrible Titanic one and that equally terrible Robin Hood (Prince of thieves) one.

I still maintain that MC Hammer's song for The Addams Family was awesome though.

Six artist, Twelve words.

Here's the flyer for a small exhibition I'm taking part in in September. Each of the six artists involved were given two random words and asked to create a short comic story around them. I was given 'Key' and 'Pulse' and proceeded to write the most insane comic ever. If you're in the area you should come and check it out, there are some amazing artists involved.

What Happens...

Here are my character designs for "What Happens..." a brilliant comic book written by Ian Moore. The story follows Jon and Sue, a couple from Scotland that get caught up in a crazy world of super powered meta-singularities, inquisitive extra terrestrials, and a massive robot that smashes New York right up. Above are my first designs which needed a little tweak to capture the essence of the characters...

Here is my second pass at the main characters which both Ian and I agreed on. More 'What Happens...' to come soon, Keep watching the comic shelves! (seriously, watch them, I steal stuff)
